Tap the front button for ON (constant light) or PIR (auto-on) mode. Slide the selector to Day or Night-only sensing, then dial in your delay-off time (15 s to 5 min) and three-level dimming on the control box. The flexible IP65 LED strip sticks with pre-applied 3M tape and can be trimmed at the marked cut points for a perfect fit.

Place & clean – Dry-fit along the stair tread/rail or cabinet run; wipe surface.
Stick the controller – Mount the sensor head facing traffic for best detection (2–5 m / 79–197 in).
Peel & stick the strip – Press firmly along the route; trim at marked cut lines if needed.
Power up – Insert 4× AAA batteries; connect the strip to the controller.
Set behavior – Choose Day or Night, select brightness, and set delay (15 s–5 min).
Test walk-through – Adjust sensor angle/position until activation is smooth.

I hadn’t purchased LED lights on a roll in a few years, and the last time I did, the “tape” seemed pretty fragile. Not so with this. The string of lights is coated with a soft rubberized coating that makes these feel pretty indestructible. The brightness isn’t what I hoped for, but there are also some adjustments that I haven’t figured out how to do that may affect the brightness positively. Great product for the money.

I bought one of these for a closet and returned to buy two more thereafter. It is simple to install and the adhesive backing to the LEDs has held up well. I did have an issue with the first install in which the adhesive strip peeled away from the LEDs, but only for a 12″ section. The motion detection works well and the lights are sufficiently bright for a step-in closet.
