These are GREAT! So incredibly easy to install. The only part that I can see being a little tricky is if you need to cut a screw, I didn't need to though. The instructions were very well written and after putting in the first one the second one was a breeze. The design leaves a decent amount of room for error in your hole cutting and the plastic tunnel is a nice touch. I don't know why people have so much trouble with these... they are super easy and look clean once installed. My only 2 issues were: The little metal piece that the magnet catches was loose on one of mine so it clicks when used but that's an easy fix. And it seems like the weather stripping (which I like) slows the swing of the door and it doesn't always close all the way but that doesn't bother me since they are on interior doors.

We recently moved to a place with a basement and wanted to install a cat door so our two cats had easy access to their litter boxes down there. Because one of our cats is large (18 lbs) we researched a door that would accommodate him easily. Using a jigsaw and some more basic tools, my husband and I measured and installed this in a total of 2 hours. We kept the door on during installation. The instructions were detailed and accurate, and we’re really happy with the resulting cat door. The magnet feature helps it seal shut when not in use. It’s nice/clean looking (for a cat door!) and it easily accommodates our big cat.

These are my favorite cat doors - we've had many at different homes and currently have two for our kitties. While they have kept all of our kitties safely inside at night in the past, we now have one (young male) who is determined enough to work at the flap until he is able to break out. They are easy to install on doors and we've also put them in walls; depending on the thickness of the wall, you will likely also need to order an extra tunnel piece.

I like this cat flap a lot but it's not easy to install on a double glazed glass door - had to get people in to do this for me and cut out the panel. Once installed it's good - great size - though not super-large I must say. My only gripe is that the door often 'sticks' and doesn't close properly to the shut position so it is left partly open - letting the bugs in. I nearly always have to go and push or pull it closed after the cats have gone out (usually out not in). Also the plastic has now broken in a couple of places in the rim. I may order another to replace the one I've now had for 3 years. Overall though, a good cat flap and despite the niggles, I would recommend it and the 4-way functionality is great.

Easy to install if your comfortable with cutting a hole in a door. I've installed 3 of these doors in different doors around our home and they are relatively simple as long as you "read and fallow the directions" a jig saw or osolating cutting tool makes short work of the cutting if you have them. And the rest is like putting together a leggo playset with screws, not to tough, a good sharp pair of shop shears or scissors will help with sizing one particular piece so have those handy as well.

We have 8 indoor/outdoor cats- one of them being 18+ lbs. This door is great for the smallest to the biggest! This is our 2nd PetSafe kitty door, the first one lasted longer than any we've had before...( imagine 8 cats dodging in and out 24/7) They especially love the clear window and can often be caught just peering out thru it, checking for varmints and bad weather.The only reason we are having to replace the first now, is because our newest kitty, during his first few months here, had to hit the swinging flap at a full gallop, in AND out! We popped the flap back on many times before he finally broke it...luckily, he is a little older and a little quieter now. Needless to say, I recommend this cat door.
