My son and I both really love this. We practiced several times on empty cans before we felt ready to try it on an actual can, so neither of us had any trouble at all once we decided to go for it. I think it was actually easier on a full can because it didn't crush in my hand so easily. This is really a fun, innovative gadget once you figure out how much pressure you need to apply to it...I think that really is the key.
