My 9 year old wanted a realistic looking train and loves this little train set. It does shoot out steam, has lights and a realistic sound. Getting the batteries in was a little tricky and the track took a minute to get together, but it was worth it. He's been having fun with is all Christmas morning. It is just made of hard plastic, but seems pretty sturdy. Hopefully it last for a long time for him. It also arrived quickly, which was nice because his first present from Santa didn't arrive by Christmas. This was a nice replacement gift.

I bought this train set to put around my Christmas tree and to entertain my grandsons (ages 7 and 2). It was easy to assemble in just a few minutes. It seems durable and sturdy. The real test will be on Christmas morning when the 2-year old plays with it! I love the smoke!! I was shocked at how long smoke lasted.

This little train is awesome. It is very well made. The tracks have clips that keep them from separating from any little movement. The smoke comes from water added to the spout at the top of the engine. It loved the realistic sounds and the way the train didn't move when first turned on. It sat for a moment building up "steam", and blowing its whistle before leaving, just like a real train would. I plan to put this around my Christmas village this year. My grandson will love it.

I really like this train set for many reasons. The train and cargo cars are sturdy and a good size for small hands and the Locomotive has steam, lights, and sounds. The selling part for me is the wide sturdy tracks that work on carpet and no worries if you don't have hardwood floors. I also prefer the way the tracks connect. There is a tab in the middle that inserts but then there are small caps that attach them together and disassemble with ease. They don’t break off like other train set tracks.

The track is bigger than I thought. It's about 6.5' in length by 3.25'. The metal construction of the train feels very sturdy and has sustained enough abuse by my 2 year old. The smoke is a nice feature, and the sound is at a perfect volume and equalized so it's not annoying (to me).

A great toy that is interesting to play not only for children but also for adults. The train is made of very high quality material and looks like a real one. Special attention has been paid to even the smallest details. Of particular interest is the steam that he releases, the light in the cars and the sound of a moving train. Very large rails, it is possible to build many different options for roads. It is very interesting to get together with the whole family and play together in the evenings.
