I like the size of this backpack for my 3 1/2 year old, though it may fit an older child better (my son is tall and big for his age). The conversations started about this backpack for my son have been worth every penny. He is thrilled to have kids and adults ask him about the bold design, his language is developing and any inviting moment helps.
