Good so far. Installed easily in my hollow core interior door with a skill type saw tool. I used it in conjunction with the cat mate door liner which worked well. The template that came with the door was sized correctly and I cut enough the first time around. I left my door hanging and using the right tools it took total between 30 mins to an hour to install to completion. I would buy again. The wall liner was a nice addition for about 5 bucks to get rid of the rough edges and provide a professional look. I left it a little long for my 1 3/4 inch door as seen in the pics, but I may trim it later. For now it doesn't seem to bother the kittens. Mine are less than 10 lbs right now but I can see how a larger cat or one bigger than the 15 mark might be tight on this door. Not sure if I like the magnet or not, provides a little resistance when they first push on it. The door doesn't swing too freely right now anyway so it doesn't always return to the bottom either way, that's ok for me though. I caulked around the door and liner to give them stability and cover the edges since my door wasn't flat and had inset panels, see pics. Overall glad with the purchase, would buy again.

The gate is super-secure, seems to be well made. No issues at all on that front. But... take a look at the video. It demonstrates why you need to take into account the dimensions of your baby and the dimensions of the pet door opening (6 3/4 in wide by 10 1/4 in tall). I mean, it isn't the product's fault. If I didn't want a pet door I wouldn't have bought this gate.

This is the perfect size for my small cat. I wanted to make sure I bought one small enough to keep my medium sized dog from getting through and this is perfect. The locking feature isn't something I anticipate needing, but it's nice to have. I installed this on the door to my basement to allow me to close and lock that door to keep my dog and toddler upstairs when I am not in the basement. This was just what I needed.

- Easy to install (hollow interior wood door in my case) - used handheld jigsaw, 5" rotary sander & power drill (would be harder without the jigsaw, but still doable - maybe with a wood cutter on a dremel?...definitely need some sort of saw) - Cats started to use immediately - 5 cats ranging from a very old 6-pound-cat to a long-haired very-tall 11-pound boy all use without issue - Sturdy - holding up fine to my 60 lb dog's VERY curious (& large) nose/head!!!!! He does manage to move the lever that controls if/how the door opens/swings...so sometimes he inadvertently locks the door on himself & the cats...even then, the door & lock stand up to the pushing & that's saying something (he's a young, determined & very playful lab/pit-bull mix - so very strong with a large head). Overall...will likely buy another one & highly recommend. I have a number of PetSafe products & find them all to be of excellent quality & reasonable price

So pleased with this kitty door. We installed 2 in our home (on leading down to the basement and the other going into the laundry room where the litter boxes are). It has been so nice being able to keep our dog away from "kitty treats" in the litter box and still allowing the kitties access to it. My husband installed them very quickly by removing the doors from the hindges, using the guides provided to make cuts, and applying the frames. The doors also come with locking features so you have the option to still keep areas off limits when needed. Good products for a good price. Would definitely recommend.
