I wasn't willing to spend much money on this kind of device because I didn't have much faith in them. I was surprised. This indicator actually works pretty well.

You're item has to be in use for this thing to work. Gas has to be exiting the tank. Have you not ever seen how the lower part of your tank get moister condensing on it while in use? The remaining liquid in the bottom of the tank gets cold as it evaporates off and the gas exits via the valve. The strip has to be placed over the level of remaining liquid. Too high you are measuring all gas temp, too low you are measuring all liquid. These things are very simple, and they work.

None of the propane tanks now a days have nothing to indicate how much is in it! Buy 2 or 3 for all your tanks

Solved my BIG problem of How much propane is left? Works perfectly according to instructions. Note to those who say it never changes, you must turn on propane and light the grill before anything will register on this. when you do that you'll see exactly where the level is inside the tank.

It works!! Very handy to have on the side of the propane tank.
