If you are surf fishing and casting with braid then this finger guard is a must. With the guard on I can easily cast 100 yards with a 2 oz lure and can do it all day without my finger getting shredded. I tested casting without the guard one time....never again. Cast was under 60 yards and my finger was not happy with me. Will be buying these again when the three of these things get destroyed over the next few years.

This glove helps when I am casting my surf pole. Previously, I cut my finger while casting. Not any more with this glove. Definitely worth the money !

This is a genuine product, it is flexible and secured. It really protects your Index finger from casting. And it does not affect your casting distance.

My finger was getting torn up using a spinning reel in the surf throwing heavy lures with braided line. These are inexpensive and prevent the abrasion to your index finger when casting. You can still feel it a little bit with really heavy lures but it's still a 90-95% improvement. The little nubs on the fingertip breakaway after a while but it doesn't seem to affect it too much. If you're repeatedly throwing heavy lures or baits in the surf that weigh an ounce or more with braid these are mandatory equipment. Wet braid can cut through skin like a bandsaw.
