These were great for a trip to Italy. I was looking for a portable monitor that didn't need to be plugged in, and found that it wasn't easy to find. This one worked well for that purpose. I'm sure it wouldn't last too long on the batteries, but it's good for trips when don't want to plug in.

Arrived on time and works great. I was surprised that I could not hear room noise when the monitor was turned on... but if the baby made even a peep the sound came through really strong which after all is the purpose!

Compact and lightweight, picks up noise well. A little limited on reception range going from inside to outside.

I really thought I wouldn't like these monitors and was worried about the long delivery time but I just needed a set that would last for a few weeks while my family was in transition. They were delivered within just a week and I love them! The talk back feature is great. I have four children, one of which nurses. I can communicate with my other children while I am nursing and this has soothed a lot of late night fears. I have had them for two months now and they still work great!

I've used this set for over a year, but my husband misplaced the baby unit a couple weeks ago and we decided we can't live without them so I'm ordering another set now. I love having a battery powered baby unit for when my baby falls asleep in the car so I can hear if she wakes up while I am carrying in and putting away groceries. They're also awesome for camping. I can now relax by the fire while my daughter's sleeping in the tent and I can hear her before she wakes up the whole campground by crying. I've never used the AC cords...honestly, I don't even remember it having them. I wish they rechargeable since we've gone through a lot of AAA batteries, but we recycle them, and it's a small price to pay for the peace of mind they offer.
