As a new/first time mama, the struggle of learning how to get things done while constantly holding a baby is real. It blows my mind sometimes the things I can get accomplished with no hands! I’ve always said a newborn, or even babies & children in general, need a set of 4 hands. So having at least 2 hands free is crucial. I rounded up the 10 best backpack diaper bags for you mama’s because I can’t imagine not having one.
When I was first creating my registry I reached out to my followers and fellow mama friends for advice on the key pieces that needed to be included. Almost every single person listed backpack diaper bag as a must have. As mama’s we lug so much around when taking trips out of the house. Having a diaper bag I can quickly throw on before grabbing Addison in his car seat makes my life so much easier. The best part about all of this is that there are so many stylish options out there.
Almost every girl buys a new carry-all bag/purse each year or every other year. That bag ends up being filled with your life and somehow truly holds it all. I view my backpack diaper bag as that carry-all piece. It’s stylish, holds everything & allows me to have my hands free. Winning all around.

There is such a wide variety of bags out there. It all comes down to what you plan to use it for most. The Fawn Design original bagis what I use on the daily. I wanted something stylish, perfect for everyday use and faux leather so it was easy to wipe down. Having the wide opening was something I looked for so I could easily see everything in the bag when opened. I’m currently shopping around for a smaller backpack (like the Bestie) for traveling and small outings. I also have a large Vera Bradley bag for weekends trips. It’s perfect for fitting all things Addi like bottles, diapers, wipes, burp clothes, etc. Shop the 10 best backpack diaper bags below!
